"I'm very pleased to announce that through collective efforts with Governor Cuomo's office and local officials, St. John's Episcopal Hospital will not be downsizing as the New York Health Department and ToneyKorf Partners, LLC recommended.

Meeks announced that it is soliciting feedback from interested parties on a discussion draft of legislation that would expand the Federal Housing Administration (FHA)’s 203(k) Rehabilitation Mortgage Insurance Program (“Rehab Program”) to help homeowners that rent out their basements finance safety improvements of such dwellings, making them more habitable.

Washington, D.C. - Today, the House passed H.R. 4502, a package of seven government funding bills, which includes Rep. Gregory W. Meeks' 10 Community Project Funding requests totaling $15.1m. Additionally, this historic bill will provide $44.8m funding for schools, $26.2m in funding for veteran's healthcare and, $367k in job training, totaling nearly $86.5m for New York's 5th Congressional District.
