Meeks, Senior Member of the House Financial Services Committee, reintroduced legislation that would provide significant financial relief for overly burdened taxi medallion owners by not considering debt forgiveness they receive as income for tax purposes. The bill, H.R. 2077, is cosponsored by the entire NYC delegation, and is bipartisan.
