Member Community Project Funding Requests Submitted to U.S. House Appropriations Committee

Rep. Gregory W. Meeks has submitted 15 requests for Member Designated Community Project Funding (CPFs) to the House Appropriations Committee for Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26). Congressman Meeks requested a total of $36,284,185 in CPFs.

Under guidelines issued by the Appropriations Committee, each Representative may request funding for up to 15 projects in their community for fiscal year 2026 – although only a handful may actually be funded. Projects are restricted to a limited number of federal funding streams, and only state and local governments and eligible non-profit entities are permitted to receive funding. Additional information on the reforms governing Community Project Funding is available here.

In compliance with House Rules and Committee requirements, Rep. Meeks has certified that he, his spouse, and his immediately family have no financial interest in any of the projects he has requested.

For an explanation of the requests, including the purpose and a description for why these projects are a valuable use of taxpayer funds, please refer to my letters addressed to the House Appropriations Committee.
