Meeks joined the majority of his colleagues in the House of Representatives to pass the Tax Increase Prevention Act of 2007 (H.R. 3996) as amended by the Senate. This legislation provides tax relief to 23 million families who would otherwise pay higher taxes under the alternative minimum tax (AMT).
