Rep. Meeks Statement on Assassination of Russia’s Ambassador to Turkey

Washington, D.C—Representative Gregory W. Meeks, Ranking Member of the House Subcommittee on Europe, Eurasia, and Emerging Threats, today made the following statement:

“I resolutely condemn today’s assassination of Russia’s ambassador to Turkey. Those responsible for this act should be swiftly brought to justice. As a firm believer in the role of diplomacy in international affairs, I respect the brave work all diplomats do and will work to ensure their safety.”
