Rep. Gregory W. Meeks Statement on Queens Nightclub Shooting

QUEENS, NY – Today, Congressman Gregory W. Meeks (NY-05) issued the following statement on last night’s shooting outside Amazura nightclub: 

“I am disappointed and outraged by the senseless shooting that happened outside of the nightclub last night in Jamaica. This horrific act of violence has no place in our community. My heart is with the victims of this event, and I wish those involved a swift recovery. 

“I commend the first responders for their rapid response to the tragic attack, especially the NYPD during this active investigation as they work to bring those responsible to justice.”
