ICYMI This Week: Rep. Meeks Warns Americans about the GOP Budget Scam

The Republican budget scam will make the largest cut to Medicaid in American history. They are playing politics - gambling with people's health coverage in order to give tax breaks to billionaires. Everyday people will die because of it.  

You may have seen reporting that President Trump is poised to accept a luxury plane from the Qatari government to serve as Air Force One. I introduced legislation to prohibit Trump, or any future president, from accepting a luxury aircraft reportedly offered by the government of Qatar. The bill aims to uphold constitutional safeguards against undue foreign influence. 

“Our national interest must never take a back seat to personal indulgence or foreign flattery. This legislation is a clear statement that the integrity of our democracy is not for sale—on the runway or anywhere else.”
