It enacts the largest cut to Medicaid and nutritional assistance in American history in order to pay for tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires. Meeks Fights to End Trump's Disastrous Tariffs on goods from Canada and Mexico Congressman Greg Stanton and I introduced a discharge petition to force a vote on Resolutions that would terminate President Trump’s authority to impose tariffs on Canada and Mexico. House Financial Services Committee advanced three of Meeks' Bills Last week, I reintroduced three pieces of legislation designed to provide additional transparency and opportunities for Main Street investors. This week, those bills passed through the House Financial Services Committee on a bipartisan basis. My work on the committee is always centered around broadening opportunities for everyday investors to share in the prosperity of our markets – with appropriate investor protections in place. The United States has the strongest, most well-regulated capital markets in the world and I believe that should benefit as many people as possible, rather than just the highest earners.
