Meeks, Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee; Lois Frankel; Sara Jacobs; Joaquin Castro; and Senator Cory Booker today issued a letter to President Donald Trump stating that he cannot effectively eliminate the United States African Development Foundation (USADF) by Executive Order, given that USADF is statutorily authorized by Congress. The letter cites U.S. statute which makes explicit that USADF can only be dissolved by an Act of Congress.
