Washington, D.C. - U.S. Reps. Gregory Meeks, Grace Meng and Lois Frankel as well as Diana DeGette and Ayanna Pressley led 67 Members of Congress in sending a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio to continue demanding answers about the ongoing waste and destruction of life-saving, taxpayer-funded contraception and other health supplies.

Washington, D.C. - Representatives Gregory W. Meeks and Jamie Raskin sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche expressing concern over the reported interference by the White House and other senior Trump administration officials to inappropriately grant and expedite a U.S. visa to former Polish Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro, who is a fugitive and faces up to 25 years in prison in Poland if convicted on various crimes.

Meeks, Jamie Raskin and Joaquin Castro sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio demanding documents and information regarding reports that the administration terminated U.S. law enforcement agreements as part of a quid pro quo with El Salvador’s President, Nayib Bukele, to enable third-country removals to the notorious CECOT prison.

Meeks, Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and Senator Jeanne Shaheen sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio raising concerns that the State Department may be illegally impeding the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) from conducting statutorily mandated oversight of U.S. foreign assistance.
